Applied AI & RAG
Retrieval pipelines that ground answers in documents, plus vision and speech models.
Tripoli, Libya
Telecommunications engineer in the making, building applied AI that answers from real documents.
Final-year student at the University of Tripoli, working where enterprise networks meet machine learning: RAG chatbots, document vision, and automation.
I'm a final-year Telecommunications Engineering student bridging enterprise networking with applied AI.
I built the Almadar AI RAG chatbot, placed 2nd in the PrestoAI Arabic E-Commerce Search & Retrieval Challenge on Kaggle, and I'm currently deepening my deep learning skills across AI in general. On the networking side I work with core routing protocols like OSPF and EIGRP, and I automate workflows with Python and n8n. I also hold a MathWorks MATLAB certification and enjoy signal processing.
Outside the lab, I serve on the program committee of the IEEE University of Tripoli Student Branch, helping run technical workshops and events for engineering students.
What I use, shown in shipped open-source tools and university engineering work.
Retrieval pipelines that ground answers in documents, plus vision and speech models.
Enterprise routing and the signal theory underneath modern communications.
Python first, with automation and tooling to tie systems together.
From AI assistants to desktop tools and 3D maps of home.
A retrieval-augmented chatbot that answers questions from Almadar's own source material instead of guessing. It pulls the most relevant passages, re-ranks them, and writes an answer grounded in what it found.
An offline desktop app that turns photographed or scanned pages into crisp, high-contrast PDFs. It finds the page border, corrects perspective, applies adaptive thresholding, and compresses to 1-bit CCITT G4.

Samsung Innovation Campus, Artificial Intelligence course
Trained in Samsung Innovation Campus's AI course in Libya. For the course's capstone, my team built AI Telecom, applying AI to telecommunications, and placed 2nd out of 155 participants.
